Walhampton's creativity shone through as usual in spite of Covid restrictions. Theatrical and musical performances played on, were recorded and sent home to Mum!

Walhampton Arts Festival 2021

The creative life of Walhampton, has kept true to form even amidst the disruption this year. The Walhampton drama team delivered a host of productions from Shakespeare and Mary Poppins to Jane Eyre and Alice in Wonderland. The Art Department has been buzzing and our community art project has been installed as a constant reminder of our strength as a community. 

The Walhampton Arts Festival normally takes place on a Saturday in May, with the grounds filled with performances, colour and creativity. However, this year, we had to be even more creative in how we shared our Arts Festival performances with parents, so they could enjoy watching their children too. We filmed a lot of the plays, providing a new skill for the children to act to camera, as well as live performances over the airwaves of Stag Radio (our school radio station).
