Where do you live?
I live in Durban, Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. Left the UK in March 1992 to pursue career opportunities in vehicle fleet management, the industry I had been in in London for 12 years. In 2001 I changed careers to financial planning, joining my present employer Private Wealth Management.

Where did you go on to study after Hordle House?
Sherborne School, Dorset. More recently I completed my post-grad diploma in financial planning at the University of the Free State (UFS).

What career path have you taken?
Financial Planning in the high income/high net worth sector.

How could you say your time at Hordle House influenced your future decisions in life?
Taught me the importance of discipline (thanks Miss Trinder – legend!). Useful when I became a father later on.

What do you remember most fondly about Hordle House?
The sport, “Monkey Town”, British Bulldogs on the front lawn!

Is there anything you miss about school?
I wish the internet had been invented 30 years earlier so that I could have kept in touch with all the friends I had.

Who do you wish you’d stayed in touch with?
Martin Colvin (I think he is now Martin Lascelles), Patrick Clough, Nigel Friend
