We were over the moon to recently discover a collection of watercolour paintings by Dorothy Whately-Smith, wife of headmaster and founder of Hordle House school, Ernest Whately-Smith.

A beautiful range of colours complement the charming scenes around Hordle House and Hordle Cliff and give us a glimpse of the outdoor life of the pupils of Hordle House in the 1920s and 1930s.
